Technique is a campaign for Western Washington University’s graduating industrial design seniors exhibition.
An emphasis on collective and individual processes and techniques arose in conversations with the cohort and became the guiding theme of the campaign.

A multitude of printed iterations served to assess iconography, legibility, and visual storytelling. Technique was chosen over other explorations for its visual stickiness and alignment with the core theme of sharing our process and methods.
Throughout the campaign I captured development and behind-the-scenes footage, this transparency served as additional promotion. As evident in many recent trends, “process as product” has become a key content pillar for brands. Early to identify the value of transparent content in the age of AI, the Instagram reel quickly became the most-liked reel on the industrial design department’s Instagram @WWUID.
After exploring lesser-used brand colors to feel fresh while operating within the university's brand guidelines, I ultimately stuck with Western Washington’s established “go-to” dark blue to maintain consistency and clear association.
On June 6th, the exhibition went off without a hitch and was enjoyed by over 60 design professionals and Alumni in the Seattle area.
